MacGregor Japan 2012 Gold Tourney Iron is made for maximum forgiveness and feel. It features a new head design featuring a 6-4 titanium face and a maraging body. Titanium and maraging steel cannot be welded together, but the new brazing process allows these two materials to be put together. The two pieces are fit together perfectly like a puzzle to get the best of both worlds. The titanium face allows for maximum, easy distance from all across the face, while the maraging body allows for a very low center of gravity. This new combination of materials produce a solid feel like no other club, while being very easy to achieve a consistent ball flight. The face is milled with a new design made to produce that soft feel and a good amount of spin for a soft landing. It comes standard with GT 201IM graphite shafts. It is a 24t carbon press shaft made for stability with solid feel. It is made to be very consistent in flex throughout the entire shaft for a stable impact and feel every time. It produces a mid trajectory with mid spin. Available in S, S/R or R flex.
